Hello Easthill Elementary School Families:
We are so excited about school starting next week. Even though it means the end of summer vacation, it is a time to celebrate a new school year, get back into routines, make new friends and learn together.
New school website and Facebook
Our school website is live and contains important information to know before school starts. Be sure to check it out at: https://easthill.hpedsb.on.ca/. Once there, you’ll find information about what students should bring to school, daily schedules and an entire section for families.

The school website will be updated on a regular basis to keep you informed about what is happening at EES. Our goal is to provide information so you have a clear understanding of the procedures that we have put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff and families. We appreciate you taking the time to read through the information and help your children to understand the guidelines.

Work is happening inside and outside
There is a lot happening at EES, both inside and outside. As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we progress into the school year as there will continue to be changes to our site as work gets completed. All changes will be communicated to families through email and our website.
What to expect on the first day
The student population at EES continues to grow. We have had many new student registrations this week and have been working diligently to organize classes. As a result, we have not yet communicated class placements for your child(ren). Our staff will be on the yard on Wednesday morning to greet our students, let them know who their teacher will be and help them find their class line up area. Easthill staff will be easily identifiable with duty vests and Easthill t-shirts.
Parents/Guardians are welcome to come on the EES school yard the first day of school to help their child(ren) in finding their class. Once your child(ren) have found their teacher/class line, please step away from the class lines as students get ready to enter the school to avoid confusion.
The first day of school for students is Wednesday, September 4, 2024
We are looking forward to welcoming students on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The school day begins at 8:10 AM (our yard duty begins at 7:55 AM) and our day ends at 2:30 PM.
Remember that Kindergarten students have a staggered entry for the first week. If you are unsure what day your Kindergarten child starts school, please contact the main office through phone or email.
