Queen Elizabeth School, constructed in 1951 and located centrally in the city of Belleville, across from the Belleville General Hospital, serves approximately 240 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Queen Victoria School students join the Queen Elizabeth student body for their intermediate years.
Queen Elizabeth School is a Healthy Active School Community offering a wide range of programs for students, complemented by numerous opportunities in athletics and the arts. The school enjoys partnerships with Loyalist College, Moira Secondary School, St. Lawrence College, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and Children’s Mental Health. Many volunteers support the school community with local industries contributing food to the breakfast program. Celebrations of learning such as Terrific Kids, gifted/enrichment opportunities, charitable fundraising, and inter-school athletics are part of the busy school day at Queen Elizabeth-Belleville. Students proceed to Moira Secondary School for Grades 9 to 12.
